Hello!! Leaf cutting available of this amazing obliqua!
HOW in love am I with this little gangster plant. It got large leaves than most of the obliqua species and the foliage is hanging down like an Anthurium (but with holes). Got some facts about this plant from @monstera_genus follow them! A few characteristics that I just got to know that makes it an aff. obliqua is that the colorless bloom inside the spathe is more of a creamy color than a yellow one. It got numerous berries on a thin and long spadix, the berries on obliqua usually have rounded outlines, on this one, not so much - and the plate of the flower is convex and not flat. There are obliqua species with similar flowers and this shows how complex this species is which is often referred to the obliqua complex. Also dooooo follow @mickmittier if you want to see awesome Monstera species from his travels.
TO DO WHEN U GET IT:
- Put the loved one in a pot that is preferably bigger than 11cm wide. - Add a mix of soil with good drainage. Orchid mix, barch, perlite etc is great! I usually go at least 30% of the material that adds to drainage. - Moist the inside of a see through plastic bag and put it over the plant. This encloses moisture that is important and will decrease the stress of the plant. - Put the plant in a bright location but not in direct sunlight. - I usually leave the plastic bag on for a week or two and then I spray it alot and keep trays of water nearby. Enjoy!
