Philodendron 'White Knight'

Warriors of the night assemble! The White Knight origins from the jungles of South America. These are deep-jungle plants that thrive on high humidity, lots of moisture during the rainy season and high temps. Even though they are used to these conditions they acclimatize well indoors and are not that cranky! If you are a foliage fanatic, you know whats up. Its stem is red, and has pointy, sharp leaves. And of course the Pink Princess doesn't like to be without her Knight.

  - Put the loved one in a pot that is preferably not bigger than 10-15cm wide.
  - Add a mix of soil with good drainage. Orchid mix, barch, perlite etc is great! I usually go at least 30% of the material that adds to drainage.
  - Moist the inside of a see through plastic bag and put it over the plant. This encloses moisture that is important and will decrease the stress of the plant.
  - Put the plant in a bright location but not in direct sunlight.
  - I usually leave the plastic bag on for a week or two and then I spray it alot and keep trays of water nearby. Enjoy!

We ship our plants without soil. This is to minimize the weight that can cause damage to the plant during shipping.

The plant in the picture is one of the plants that we have but is not necessarily the on you are buying. We have tried to take a picture of a plant the represents the over all quality of them. Some are smaller and some are bigger. Con-tactus🌵 if you have any questions

Rather easy care even though it is a collector plant.  White Knight Philodendrons enjoy well drained but moist, rich organic mix with good drainage. Remember try to stay away from wet, mucky or dry, sandy soils.

White Knight is actually a climbing variety it can maintain its bushy form by simply trimming it back once or twice per year. It is a slow grower but can get rather big!

Through Spring and Summer the soil should be kept moist but during winter the soil should be allowed to dry out between waterings.
Bright light, but not direct sunlight.
